Fishing With A Soldier is a 501(c)(3) Organization. Richard Ballard (Army Ret.) started Fishing With A Soldier in 2013. Since then we have hosted tournaments on Chickamauga Lake, TN, Cherokee Lake, TN and our first ever tournament on Allatoona Lake, Ga in 2023 to give back to those that sacrificed so much for our freedom! A little about Chase - Chase spent 14 years in the Marine Corps as a Administrative Chief. He has been stationed all across the globe and currently calls Johnson City, TN home. He is a survivor of the Chattanooga attacks in 2015 as he was the Administrative Chief for Mike Battery. Chase is married and has 2 boys that are his life. He took over FWAS in 2014 and has made it into what it is today with a lot of help from the community and volunteers.
